Each Artisan is woven by hand from durable synthetic rope. The braid wraps the mouthpiece evenly and holds the reed securely, without the hard contact points of a metal ligature, so the reed is free to respond. The rope keeps its shape and color through daily practice, rehearsals and concerts.
