Description
The Gleichweit B24 contrabass clarinet mouthpiece is crafted from ebonite, engineered to meet the unique acoustic demands of the largest member of the clarinet family – delivering exceptional tonal depth, clarity, and reliable intonation in the extreme low register.
Machined from ebonite for natural resonance and organic warmth, the B24 features a 2.05 mm tip opening and a 32 mm facing. The generous facing gives the player considerable control over tone colour and dynamics, which is essential for this instrument’s demanding low-register projection requirements.
The built-in O-ring system ensures a secure, airtight fit while protecting the instrument tenon.
The B24 produces a rich, focused contrabass tone that cuts through ensemble textures without losing its depth. It is the choice of specialist contrabass clarinetists in orchestral, contemporary, and chamber music settings.
