The Gleichweit B9-5 Bb clarinet mouthpiece is a medium-open Bb clarinet mouthpiece with a compact 21 mm facing – delivering immediate response, full tonal body, and the expressive freedom of an open tip in a quick, precise package.
Machined from high-grade synthetic material on advanced CNC equipment, the B9-5 pairs a 1.21 mm tip opening with a short facing. This produces a faster, more direct response than longer-facing medium-open models – similar in concept to the Vandoren B40L.
The built-in O-ring system ensures a secure, airtight fit while protecting the instrument tenon.
The B9-5 delivers clear articulation, reliable intonation, and a full, projecting tone that works equally well in fast technical passages and lyrical playing.
