The Gleichweit B7-1 Bb clarinet mouthpiece is a closed-tip Bb clarinet mouthpiece engineered for clarinetists who want a warm, centred tone with refined control – the slightly tighter sibling of the bestselling B7-4.
Precision-crafted on advanced CNC machinery from your choice of high-grade synthetic material or hard rubber, the B7-1 delivers outstanding consistency. Designed for players who prefer a closed opening similar to the Vandoren BD5 but with a marginally softer response, this mouthpiece rewards a supported embouchure with rich, focused tone.
The built-in O-ring system ensures a secure, airtight fit while protecting the instrument tenon. The BES hard rubber version is supplied with a traditional cork-fitted tenon instead.
The B7-1 delivers a warm, centred sound with reliable intonation and clean articulation across all registers – well suited to orchestral, chamber, and solo repertoire.
